Abstract

Purpose : The purposes of this study were 1) to analyze the scheme of the interview for the nursing cadets, 2) to develop the important factors which should be evaluated for the nursing cadets¡¯ admission, and 3) to define the valuation basis for the key factors.
Method : The subjects consisted of 28 nursing officers who work at the AFNA. Data were collected through in-depth interviews to develop the important factors: 14 nursing officers were interviewed. Questionnaires were used to evaluate valuation basis for the key factors.
Result : The validity of the interview for nursing cadets admission couldn¡¯t be evaluated. Inter-rater reliability of the interview for nursing cadets¡¯ admission was low. The important factors which should be evaluated for the nursing cadets admission interview were as follows : life value, purpose of application, background, humanity, attitude, faithfulness, appearance, power of expression, and leadership.
Conclusion : The predictive factors of successful cadet life should be developed to evaluate the validity of the interview. Interviewer training is suggested before the interview.
